The Airlines Rant

My sounds system broke so I was stuck with my thoughts and this began to annoy me

Seriously its ridiculous what they make female cabin crew wear on most flights I mean what is up with that?

Yeah I get as a guy I should like it but seriously why the ridiculous short skirts they're very impractical add that to the twenty pounds of makeup they are required to wear and for what?

There's no benefit whatsoever other than someone like me could slobber over them for like 5 hours. There's no tipping system or anything so just why??

Why not just let the women wear regular semi-formal clothing and don't get me started about how bad woman's clothing is to begin with that's a whole other rant.

Everyone should try Singapore Air at least once- cabin crew are amazing, planes are plush and spotless...and the hot towels at the start and end of the flight are heavenly! Puts the service from BA in to the level of comedic

Personally I’ve always thought both male and female cabin crew look very smart and professional I’d be alarmed if the Pilot and his cabin crew just walked on in a Slazenger vest and Lonsdale trainers and I find you’re slobbering over them a tad creepy maybe you should stick to public transportation if it bothers you that much

Because..

Air hostess

I like the way you dress

You know I hate to fly

But I feel much better

I can fly in my mind

And you will look better

I messed my pants

When we flew over France

Will I see you soon

In my hotel room

For a holiday romance?

The worlds becoming to casual, i like that cabin crew look their best, my besties wife is cabin crew she loves the uniform.

Just look how good & smart everyone dressed in the early mid 1900s dresses, suits. Now most wear wear minging grey trackies & trouses below their boxers.

Same with schools, uniforms important.. theres a school near me which is very well known everyone looks so smart.

I was thinking more bus train taxis to be honest when I’m flying the last thing I’m worried about is the uniform I’m more interested in the last time to plane had its Mot and are the wings connected properly or are the windows sealed up properly with proper silicone and not some rubbish fromB&Q

"the Pilot and his cabin crew"

The pilot is always a he/his is it?

I was on a BA flight a while back and the female captain proudly announced an all female pilot crew which made me super proud but other passengers were clearly disturbed and uncomfortable by this...

Why?

In case the pilot had to reverse or parallel park the plane

I happen to agree with the OP. Why the heck do female cabin crew have to wear regulation high heels to walk through the airport and greet you but then (because it's actually unsafe!) change into flats for the actual flight?? It's purely for the aesthetic. Same with the regulation make up, the regulation hair dos/length, the colour of the hosiery being incredibly specific etc. All for aesthetics.

Yes, have a smart uniform, but bollocks to high heels, hair in buns, hosiery in "sunkissed beach" and Mac.

Didn’t actually know about that flats part. You learn something new everyday

Makes them seem more sensible than I thought they were actually.More safety conscious too.

Still think the whole get up is ridiculous though that hasn’t changed.Don’t mind the hair in buns part (though the hair length regulations are ridiculous) but literally everything else needs a overhaul in my humble opinion. The hosiery especially.

Well, seeing as men are incapable of basic tasks and still need mothering, I guess it's down to women to do all of it then.

I cant see a problem with naked cabin crew myself ,it would make the flight less formal
