"No I don’t think it is. Classic example of this was the pandemic where so many people were complaining they were so lonely and the other half were complaining they didn’t get a minute to themselves and the house was full constantly. I honestly believe it was just as hard for both during that time. I would have given anything for one day (even one minute!) by myself. " I think it was equally difficult for both, you're right. That said, as much as I craved touch and as lonely as I was, there's no way I would've changed places with someone trapped at home with other people and kids 24/7 as for me the loneliness was definitely the lesser of two evils!

"No it’s not. Be careful what you wish for, as it’s not always what you think it is. " This is very true. I was just musing over sayings like this one or the likes of "can things seem to be good to true" type of thing x

"Nope I don't think it is. Projection is a deceiving thing and more times than not, if something is too good to be true, it usually is. I'd rather fight for something that's worth it than run at the first sign of pretend paradise." So true x

"When you get to the other side of the fence your grass always looks greener " I always thought this was the point of the idiom the grass is always greener on the other side. When you're on one side the other looks better and vice versa. No?

That’s exactly how I felt too when people felt sorry for me being in my own in the pandemic. I was just thinking thank goodness I had time alone, I couldn’t have done it with a partner and kids having grown to enjoy my time alone now.

"Sometimes the really green stuff is moss or mould. Real grass has the odd brown patch, a few w@@ds, and some other unwanted bits in it, but, if it's cared for in a healthy way it can be the place where you feel most content and at peace." Great reply PP x
