"Profiles with couples saying they have to trust someone before they can let them join in within their marriage/ relationship and have fun with them. Single profiles (usually females) saying they need to trust people before they will meet. On the planned babies thread, people get together, say they love each other and want to start a family... Then a few months later the woman is a single mum wondering why she trusted him. Vanilla dating threads... People on 'dating sites' saying they have seen others on here. Are they dating or swinging? Can we ever really trust anyone? Would you really trust someone you met online? Or even in real life?? " without soundingikeca bitter and twisted wman garing woman, nope, i will never trust another man! Doesn't stop me from still enjoying them though because they are phwoar!!

"why are you untrustworthy if you are on a datin site and a swinging site? who i sleep with and how i meet them does not make me untrustworthy if i say that i am exclusive to someone on a site and i am not, that makes me untrustworthy" Yes, sorry, your last sentence is what I meant to say. X

"Well this will be a bundle of joy! To answer the question - trust anyone online, only if you're a moron. Trust anyone in real life, absolutely." Have met people on line who after meeting them in real time would trust them more than certain people I have met in real life... throw that one into your equation

Obviously degrees of trust as people have mentioned etc. etc. I suspect this thread is less about trust and rather more about lack of it however.

Can we trust anyone? Does that trust have to be earned? Or is it the wrong word entirely for on a site such as this?

"Usually, my gut feel is very accurate about a person whether I can trust him/her or not. However, it has been known to fail on the rare occasions. If I find out the person whom I have trusted as betrayed my trust, then I will drop him/her like a hot potato. " This is how I am too. My gut feeling about someone is usually right and the few times I've gone against it I've wished I hadn't. Yes some would say I'm too trusting and caring but it's me. For those we have met and become close friends with its been worth the pain from those who turned out to be not for us. I value the very few people I feel close to snd can trust. Some are vanilla some are playmates. I don't judge where I met them but the person. Sure there are some I know straight away I wouldn't trust. But others I've built close friendships up with snd would trust them completely.

" Life is littered with people who are despondent after trusting someone and then being let down. But if nobody trusted then life would be shit too. There are also different levels of trust so really its not a single plain emotion/event/situation. In the end you should do what your head says as more often than not it will be right.

I'm still surprised when I'm right though.
