Glass over him then slide a card under the glass and lift carefully to outside and release

If it's a House spider please don't put it outside as it'll die. They are pretty much fully adapted for living indoors. If you must move it, catch with a large glass and piece of card then let it scuttle away somewhere like under the bath or at least in a shed. They aren't the prettiest arachnids but they are completely harmless. Sorry, I know a lot of people find it hard to be around spiders.

Normally, just gently lift it with one of its legs.....hope that it doesnt come off.....chase Jeni with it for a bit, until she slams a door in my face before flicking it out a window!

With your hand. It’s not going to hurt you.

But remember he will come back in. House spiders live in houses and are different from outdoor spiders
