Username gives an image

When you read a username do you envision a certain person? How many times do you get it right or wrong?

I say this because I see a username and click into the profile to see if there’s more of an image than just a cleavage or a cock, to see who I am reading or replying to.

Chances are I think ‘oh’ I didn’t expect them.

Even in real life, ‘Dave’ does not look like a Dave when I meet him. You know what I mean?

Sometimes the image you make in your head matches them perfectly other times it's a pleasure being wrong as the username is just a name not an accurate description, although that guy "oldwartydick" did live up to it

ps. I made those names up, and checked to make sure they didn't exist. I originally used slightly stronger language for one of them, and found that there is already someone with that name.

You only need to hear first names in some related context for any of them to work fine imo, but without any context they can immediately remind you of anyone that you happen to know with it, from a close colleague to an errant sibling! The only initial context for the usernames on Fab is being on a sex site unfortunately.

It's why I find one particular name beginning with S (which seems weirdly quite popular on here) really uncomfortable to read sometimes. People who have it seem to love to alliterate with it too! Kind of does my head in. -pt-

It's very easy to judge someone based on a profile picture and bio until you get chatting. We can also forget that people into things we are not can actually be very pleasant people to talk to once you put aside life/social choices too. And I don't mean for that to sound as bad as it reads because its difficult to get across! Swinging could be considered as an exciting hobby to some but also an opportunity for more intimacy for others. That's my view on it anyway

But then again OP, some Dave's really do turn out to be just that!

I've never been drawn in by a name alone but I have been put off by a few and I'm not just talking about the more graphic ones.

As controversial as it might be I just laugh now when I see the word lady in a profile name. I accept it's a broad generalisation but my experience has been that very few of them are very ladylike and by that I mean in the way they treat other people.
