From the land of haribos.

I am not, but my mother is and she sometimes bakes cakes, like the browne and the carrot cake, it would be fun to learn how to do it one day

I make a good Madeira cake. Very ‘orangey’. But I don’t like cake.

I can, and have made several. Including Baumkuchen (now that’s a really tricky one!)

Give it a go & start with a sponge, can’t go wrong

I love baking,it is far easier than cooking if you are good at following instructions.

You can be as creative as you desire with flavours but the basics stay the same.

I don't really like cake or sweet things,I much prefer a cheeseboard.

I taught and still teach people sugarcraft in my spare time (owned a cake shop for 10 years) Not only do you learn how to make delicious cakes, they end up looking amazing too x

My cakes don't tend to last longer than a few hours, a day on the outside. It's quite puzzling. I take it out of the oven, finish with a flourish, I have a slice, the wife has a slice, even the child has a slice. Go back into the kitchen later and Poof it's gone...

I am a prolific cake maker , purely for family, friends and friends of friends. Find my loaf cakes to be the most popular closely followed by Cherry Bakewells.

New request this week is for Eccles cakes which will be a challenge, especially making the puff pastry.

I am dire at baking. Even Jamie Oliver's 30 minute meals takes me 45 minutes and do not look the same in his book

Yes, I can bake but I'm rubbish at icing/decorating. Tastes good, might look like a 5yo had a paddy whilst applying icing

I only dabble occasionally. Sponge cakes are easiest, fruit cakes and pastries bit more involved. Have a go at a Victoria sponge, simple either as a full size sandwich or little fairy cakes. A common and easy embellishment is to cut a shallow cone out of the top, about 1/3 in from the edge, dollop of whipped cream in the crater, slice the cut-out portion in two, then embed halves into the cream so they stick out as wings.

Sometimes the sponge is a disaster for whatever reason, but usually my cakes are lovely.

I love baking and I wish I had more time to do it.

Everyone in my family has a home made cake on their birthday and people have asked me to bake for them and usually I will make Christmas cake as gifts for people. Always goes down well

I think people over mix or handle things too often WHEN COOKING (you perverts)

Although to be fair probably sexually too.

I am a better cook than baker but do bake a few. Usually biscuits, carrot cake, Xmas cake, fruit loaf, brownies etc. I also make a nice trifle, tiramisu, doughnuts and profiteroles. Not very good with the highly decorated cakes though as although I could possibly do it, I don't have the time and patience required for that. I also like freshly baked bread and do that quite often.
