I know people don't have to reply to your message but being polite costs nothing. I think there should be an acknowledgment but not interested button like the wink so people know where they stand and then you can also block them so you don't message them again a week or so later.

Perhaps they should just read and if they don’t want to engage just block. Save having a negative emotion button.

Just spare a thought, some woman get 100’s and 1000’s messages daily. They don’t have time to read all of them, let alone reply to one’s which are not a match afraid to say.

If you use your "notes" feature, you could jot down when you've messaged someone and if they've not replied within a certain time frame then update your notes with "do not message them again" or block them if you feel that's what works for you.

Realistically though, being attached can be a big no-no for a lot of people. If a partner finds a secret profile, the first thing they usually do is hunt down who you've met or been talking to. From what I've seen, most fab folk just wouldn't want that hassle, so that could be partly the reason why you're struggling to get responses.

Women get lots of messages. Out of all those messages, they only read a certain amount, and out of those they only reply to a certain amount. Having an “I’m not interested” button would be pointless since they would have to click it a thousand times a day. Just take a no response as a not interested.

Most of my messages are from straight guys looking to experiment with their discreet profiles explicitly saying no men. I got bored of being polite quickly and just ignore as isn't for me. Most don't know what they want and I'm too busy figuring out what I want to help others on their quest.

It's not rude not to reply.

Some ladies and couples get hundreds of messages a day so it simply isn't possible for them to reply to everyone. If you don't get a response, you should assume they aren't interested. If you're getting a lot of "no-replies" then you should consider your profile and the messages you send. Are they giving the right message? Are you standing out from the thousands of other guys on here?

It does say in the T&C's about messages. And unopened one is probably lost in the other 1000 there person has received...or she's read it and chosen not to reply for reasons of her choosing....I see no problem with getting or not getting a reply. It is what it is on fab. Learn to live with it

Private notes are great .. I have left loads detailing the result of any chat or their names because sometimes folk go quiet then come back on and my memory is shite. I also make a note on ignorant people profiles so I don't message them and waste time.

No reply is as good as not interested. Sometimes a no thanks type response ends up in receiving a nasty response hence many of us don't reply when we get a message from someone that doesn't interest us

I don’t arrange meets half way across the country, I just go out in newcastle, post on my profile that I am going, and if guys turn up we have a great time!

It doesn’t always end up with sex but I have never regretted meeting anyone off fab
