So getting the usual messages from single guys if you reply thanks but no thanks they then come back with why what's wrong with me etc if we ignore we then get messages asking what's wrong with their profile dont want to block single guys as we will look when when we're ready any advice...???

Why not put your filter on and stop all single men from messaging you? Then you can lift it if you decide to message anyone

This is why I've stopped replying, as soon as they get a response they roll with it. If your not interested just delete and again if they don't take the hint, they will get bored eventually and move on. I only block people who are abusive so I know everyone on my block list is there for good reason.

Delete "men" off your looking for list. It takes you off the searches and reduces mail.

Depends what mood I am in and how polite they are. Sometimes I will reply with why they are not my cup of tea if they have given me something to go on like their profile has info on it. Sometimes I will just delete and block. Sometimes I will lay it to them straight - especially if they have sent me an especially crude message as an opener and wondered why I didn’t reply. I save the best ones for my entertainment or when I am trying to explain to people the kind of abuse I have got on here….

I have had follow up messages from people I have given constructive advice to that has said thank you and they have made changes so maybe I have done some good….

Annnd this is the root of it. Guys who just can’t take no for an answer. A guys response to a “no thank you” message should only ever be one of two things in my opinion; 1) no response at all because they’ve moved on, or 2) a short, simple and civil acknowledgment message along the lines on “okay no problem, happy fabbing!” because they’ve moved on. In both these scenarios the guy hears and accepts the “no thank you” loud and clear, and respects it.

So with that said, OP, my advice is if you ever get a response that isn’t one of those two things, is to just immediately block them.
