Several years ago, a social meet for fabbers was organised at Alton Towers. Lots of (sociable) fun was had and everyone had a good day. Sadly it’s never been done again…

After a comment on another thread, I have been wondering if this is something that others would be interested in doing?

The most I did was twice, same, nobody goes on with me, so I got off and walked straight back on as the line was ‘no wait’. Was in the front row a few times to where the view is amazing. You know it

I did the same thing with Stealth at Thorpe Park. That’s a great ride too.

So... group of people, some of whom may find others of whom attractive and want to get it on, arrange to visit theme park on a certain day(s) and time.

I hope they write about speed dating, singles events, hell... any event where there are adults... like they did about that social.

Last time couple of times I went on bumper cars, everyone just went around in circles. Nobody actually bumped into each other everytime I tried to liven it up one of the staff hopped into the side of my car and turned me towards the rest. Talk about a waste of time

Gotta be honest, Chessington World of Adventures is more local and convenient.

Well actually Thorpe Park is even better, but the rides there scare me.

Trouble with them all is unless you go on a weekday outside of school holidays the queues are pain in the arse but I hope it happens for those that want to go and you all have a Fab time!

Nah, back rows are the best on non-launch coasters, you get pulled over the drops at greater speed!

I love going on Thirteen with newbies who haven't been on it before.

Oblivion still gives me the anticipation/fear the most, love Nemmy too.

That sounds like a great day out. Bit far from me sadly.

Might be worth looking at their events calendar to check out later night opening/special events that are good to go to. Bit far away but stuff like Scarefest with night time riding is brilliant, Wickerman in the dark when it's been running all day and is whizzing along nicely is amazing.
