Serious question, do you have to change teams every time you move house? If I'd supported my local team all my life, I'd be on about my 8th team. Maybe more.

I support a team from a place I've never actually lived in, but my Dad is from there, lives there and took me to matches from being very young. My allegiance has never changed, even when we dropped out of the FL for a while.

Of course you don't have to change allegiance when you move city. However, I think you have to actually support your team, with your actual voice and wallet, at actual games on rainy nights in the depths of winter otherwise you're not a supporter. Huddling in a pub shouting at a screen showing a stadium you've never been to doesn't cut it for me.

I used to follow Tranmere all over the country but it's much, much harder to do now. Just getting into some stadia in our league is hard work, many have single digit disabled spaces etc.

The last time I watched TRFC at Bolton , I had to go into the Bolton supporters area to get my half time refreshments. It's definitely an impressive ground. I was at the Liverpool game in December on the 9th floor. I didn't know stadia went that high! Wembley only has 5 levels.

How have I missed this thread, but had a good laugh

I’m spurs and always will be. I picked my local team and stuck with it. We might not be lining up the trophies, but I don’t really care.

I’ve got some fantastic memories from some classic games over the last 35+ years.

Yes we are spursy and normally mess things up, but we also have those delightful moments where we win or draw and people don’t expect us to. It’s amazing how disappear back to their holes when giving it so large prior to the game.

I’m realistic, of course it’s good to win the NLD postponed for way too long and make sure they didn’t clinch 4th at ours.

4th is totally in their hands now to keep or lose. 2 games to go.

Personally I was disappointed that the European Super League didn't go ahead as it would have given us something to chuckle about, the 'battle of the bottom ' each year between Spurs and Arsenal knowing that because there would be no relegation they would have to repeat the same process the next year.

Days like yesterday is why I follow Spurs. Beating your local rivals to stop them winning CL football at our ground, then watching them crumble under the pressure of it being in their hands before clinching the 4th spot on the final day of the season with a stroll in the park against Norwich. I don't think it's Spurs fans that are feeling depressed about their team this morning
