The beauty of being an adult is that suddenly there's no oversight on your personal life. You want cake for breakfast? Nobody's going to stop you. You want cereal for dinner? Go for it.

For instance after one of my gym sessions recently I had a craving for some cheese, so I went ahead and ate most of a block on its own, alongside my protein shake

What have you done recently that takes full advantage of your 'Adult' status?

Ha. When you have kids, they automatically become small supervisors

Will be this evening when trying out lots of non alcoholic cocktails and if I want a dirty kebab filled with delicious contents no one can stop me

The concept of being able to scoff an entire packet of jaffa cakes in one go would have thrilled 7 year old me. I'd have been in awe; "what, I can eat the whole packet? Really?"

Fairly normal procedure now.

For a couple of months, almost every weekday breakfast consisted of a twin pack of pastries from the supermarket over the road from my office.

Circa 700 deliciously empty calories every morning.

I’ve no idea why I’m 100kg….
