I would be in charge of maintaining those houses. 98% of the occupants were single mums. None of them could ever get out of bed early enough for an 11am maintenance call. About half of them looked like they never cleaned or took care of the property, themselves and even the baby sometimes. I’m not saying all of them decided to have a baby to get a house, but I definitely know a lot of young girls that have done exactly that. | |||

The men just walk away and leave the single mum to do all the work but yeh they slandered for looking after their own kids and not out populating the country and leaving them to it! So blame the men who don't step up! Why are single dads not available at the drop of a hat or better still available when they want to meet use the kids as an excuse?? Ohh yeh cause they step up to their responsibilities...not all but very few are genuinely looking after their kids! But single mums get slandered...yehh good move! I know it's only a post for us to bite at but it's good to have our say and be heard!! I know people assume I've been partying when actually I'm running 2 jobs and finish work long after midnight. Single mums get less days off than I do and more judgement. I'm from a council estate where people had kids young. It just happened it was always unintentional it was always a shock, a mistake and a drama. Never once did anyone say "if you get pregnant they give you a house" and benefits actually meant something back then. | |||
