What is it with people lately?

The self entitlement and rudeness is unbearable. Seen a guy in his 40's speaking to a young girl who was about 16 like shit today in starbucks , not too sure on the reason but even so doesn't justify it.

My 22 year old works at tesco on weds eve she got spat on and photographed and told they were gonna wait till she finished work and kill her! This is from women! All because they stopped them stealing! X

I saw an older woman, much older than me, give a young guy in Costa a lot of snash when he told her how much here tea and coffee would cost. She had her finger up at the screen and she was also shouting at him.

I work offshore so thankfully I don't need to deal with anyone, seems to get worse and worse everytime I come home. I don't think I would be able to hold my tounge if someone spoke to me like that , customers always right? Pftt

Few months back a guy in his 70s gave me a bollocking for closing my van doors, claimed I was disturbing his peace. He pointed his walking stick and threatened to shove the van up my arse and added ‘you’re lucky I’m not younger’. Awkward trip to A&E avoided lol.

Me too...although luckily i've not had to deal with it- mainly because i refuse to defend any shoddyness caused by our company and most clients are actually nice people that just want their stuff to work

The general standard of public behaviour has been visibly deteriorating, and will fall even further as the cost of living crisis kicks in, and people become more stressed.

I was in a local shop this week where a guy was openly attacking customers he had to be pinned to the ground and arrested.

A guy assaulted me in the pavement this week; I sawi coming and was mildly amused at his hostility.

The worst is yet to come.

I don't see what people get out of being nasty. I just get stressed and I would rather avoid it. There's enough stress out there for the person giving the abuse as well as recieving it

It’s getting worse isn’t it? I try to be polite at all times but sometimes I think I really don’t get paid enough to deal with this abuse when I genuinely just want to help everyone, that’s why I do my job.

I've never dealt directly with the enduser as I've always supplied different trades and it's funny how noticeable the different mindsets are.

I supplied the licensed trade for more than 20 years and then retail for 6 and now hospitality.

At least half of those I dealt with in the licensed trade were people I would never want to meet or speak to if I didn't have to as they were the most arrogant entitled arseholes.

Retailers were slightly better but there were a few who treated their staff badly and looked down on deliverymen.

The vast majority of those I deal with in hospitality are very appreciative and approachable.
