Monday's Child

Many of us know the rhyme about the day of the week you're born on affecting how you turn out. If you don't know it, it is shown below.

-------------

Monday's child is fair of face,

Tuesday's child is full of grace.

Wednesday's child is full of woe,

Thursday's child has far to go.

Friday's child is loving and giving,

Saturday's child works hard for a living.

And the child born on the Sabbath day

Is bonny and blithe, good and gay.

-------------

I was born on a Monday and I'd like to think I'm reasonably fair of face.

What day of the week were you born on and was the poem correct?

Wednesday! I’ve always felt cheated by this! I have read somewhere that it should say ‘Wednesday’s child KNOWS no woe’

I couldn’t be less bloody woeful !!

I suspect you're very fair of face though.

To be fair, if that's the only they have to complain about, it is not a lot of woe.

Go to enough countries and you’ll find a version of this poem that suits whatever attribute you’d most like to portray yourself with

Don’t start me on horrorscopes…

From what I can see in your pictures, it's pretty accurate.

The rest of you looks very fair too.

Wednesday, yes. Also the shortest day of the year and I happen to be a double Capricorn. I take life far too seriously. Resting bitch face and don't suffer fools gladly.

I'm a joy lol

It’s wrong, I am none of those traits.

I was born on none of those days.

If you go to timeanddate.com you can get it to display the calendar for your birth year.

So I checked with my mum and she said I was born on a Sunday and she definitely knows it because she missed Dynasty.

So I'm a Sunday child and I defo fit the rhyme.
