What are proples opinions on winks ?

I personally love a wink. Hardly ever get them but when I do its so nice, knowing someone has seen something in your profile or pictures to send a wink is a massive confidence boost.

But I've seen a lot of people hate winks and ignore them completely, I send a wink as an indicator that I like the profile..

I send a wink if I like a profile to gauge interest. If they wink back I'll go to the trouble of following up with an intro, photos or whatnot; as they're asking. I'm same with fabs on pics. If I fab it I'm interested.

I think a lot of folk aren't meeting that often or are pretty saturated and don't have the time to respond to every message. Winks can save everyone a lot of time...

99.9% of the winks we get are from people that don’t match what we’re looking for so we rarely check them. We much prefer a message as long as it isn’t a one word/line one.

I send them as an indicator of interest, if they send one back then I know of I send a message it won't be ignored or unwanted.

But yea I get that for some/most women that getting fabs from guys at the other end of the country must be annoying

I differ. I take a wink as a , ooh, someone just winked, I’ll check them out. If I like them a night wink back and give them the awesome good news that I’m interested in them too.

However, i myself am unlikely to wink, basically because of what you just said, I think lots think it’s a waste of time.
