So, weekend before Easter I contracted Covid and was off the whole week from work, over this period I had a major reflection of my life as it currently stands and realised I was actually quite lonely, hence my profile update, seeing what comes of it, who knows.

So my question is this, at what point in your life did you realise that something wasn't right or missing totally?

Late 30’s. When I was turning 40 I knew I needed to mix things up a bit. I think milestones are an eye opener to reflect.

When I was 30 and left a toxic relationship, I realised I didn’t recognise myself anymore - my confidence left me completely and I was broken for a while.

I took some time out and focused on myself for 2yrs, I didn’t date anyone seriously and I just filled my time with exercise, good friends, new hobbies and building my dance business in time the old me came back.

Now I set goals each year that I want to achieve and when I feel I’m going off track or feeling low I remind myself why I set them, they help me to focus xx

Last time was when I was off with Covid end of October last year. 1st Nov I went and saw the Doc and got on the waiting list for gender reassignment. No looking back now

I realised at Christmas that I’ve only got myself to rely on with no family. I’ve always known that anyway. Having Covid was horrible over New Years as was so unwell with it.

Around january 2021 when i looked back at all id lost the previous year 3 family members dead an old friends suicide and my oldest friend dead too something major had happened to one of the offspring and i was starting to see id never see the love of my life again and i had no control over any of it il admit i wanted the exit but in the end my obsession with loyalty my kids some friends fomo and being able to drive my shoulders into people dragged me out of my pit i was a broken man plagued by nightmares but now im stronger id only ever experienced true grief once as a child is my only excuse emotion was new to me so didnt know how to handle it now i see all i can do is be there for them who need me thats all any man can do and if im needed i will be there x

I'm sorry for everyone has posted, being currently very emotional over the slightest thing I really truly feel all your pain and regrets...but I also hope you all feel a sense of release and maybe renewal from opening up

Just been reading a few of these posts on here. I feel you people. Love you all as you are. We all just need a lil bit of love ayy?

Well for me, I tend to meditate daily (seasoned veteran so to speak of the phenomenon) and ebb & flow with each moment as it comes. I don't really have solid plans or things I want to achieve, but I do have some ideas about things I'd love to do if the opportunities arise.

I feel the smoothest way to live you're life is, living in the moment and attending to things as they happen. No one knows what's going to happen 2 seconds from now, so no one really has all the answers.. but one thing we can do is be attentive to each moment that occurs and live in the moment, otherwise we lose that moment and can't get it back again.
