I do have netflix, but if they bring in adverts then i will cancel, its the thing that i like most about it, the lack of adverts.

Plus they dont seem to put much new stuff on these days, so im not far off canceling anyway and maybe rejoin in a few months when there is some new content. Its a shame as it used to be great

It’s ok as they are going to charge the person who owns the Netflix for others to use it outside of the household.

That’s my brother and not me so I’m all good still on the Netflix front

Otherwise so far Iv cut back on nothing. Well Iv started turning the plugs off overnight but that’s it.

I'm guessing the cheapest will be their own stuff, then £1 more for old stuff, then another £1 for new stuff and a one off pay per view thing for new releases.

There’s a lot more choice in the subscription market. And if you have a few ot soon adds up.

Netflix, spotify, Apple, Disney, Amazone Prime and HBO could add up to £100 a month for family subs that allow (legit) multi user/device access.

He doesn't use it on any other device other than his television, and pays for more than one device. They might make it so only one device can be using Netflix at a time.

Awww thanks and it’s totally impossible to stop it

Or in less they change copyright laws

As it’s not illegal to watch only illegal to host or share

With China have no copywriter laws most are starting to use Chinese hosting

So western copyright laws don’t apply

Only thing they can do is isp block it

But a cheap £3.99 a month vpn will root around that block

I’ve cancelled my Netflix for now as I also have prime, BritBox and Apple TV. I don’t watch ‘normal’ telly, only streaming and nothing on bbc so I don’t need a tv licence. BritBox and apple were deals which I won’t renew but prime I’ll probs keep going cos of the other benefits too. Netflix I’ll cancel and renew as and when I’ve got stuff on there I want to watch I guess.

Imagine if everyone operated that way. Can’t be arsed to work…. So I’ll frog march you down to the ATM and take your money. Can’t be arsed to by a car so will TWOC yours. Some people make their living creating content. I’m sure they’re delighted when people steal it. Why do people feel entitled to consume copyright material without paying?

I wonder if they locked a few people away for 5 years for doing it whether people would be so blasé about it?

As soon as Netflix begin to charge me for sharing my account then I'm cancelling. So it is their loss either way. The person I'm sharing it with is not going to subscribe regardless so they didn't really gain anything and I save myself some money.

It is the least watched sub service I have anyway. I think I only really watch it because I have it.

Got rid of Netflix last year. Only thing I watched it for was startrek Discovery which was taken off them and show on Pluto, which I never knew existed, but still haven't watched it cause it's a live broadcast.

I have Prime and Disney left. Can't cut anything else really I had the cheapest available, bar my electric but that was locked in to a two year contract before things got silly.

The student accounts are harder to share though , with family sharing prime we we able to have free delivery three separate accounts for £79 , for the £39 deal I can’t seem to add mine.

If they clamp down on account sharing they will lose a lot of advertising revenue , most people share accounts for Netflix, prime, Spotify, sky Go, no way would I subscribe to all those if I was paying , it’s not worth it

Hello natalie-heaven

If you don't mind my asking, why would you do this? From what I have seen of your other posts, you are very capable of paying for the services. I do not mean to challenge you on it, merely curious why you would do it.

I have a TV Licence and several subscriptions that I seldom use but I like having them available when I need it. I am lucky enough to be able to afford them because I am single with no responsibilities.

When times are hard, I feel it is even more important for those who can afford it to step up and pay their share.
