Last time you canceled a date and why?

About 6 years ago I was talking to this girl (she was in her 30's) via a dating site. So after a couple of weeks of chatting. We decided to meet up. Now because she doesn't drive, I thought I could drive to her and we could go for a drink/coffee. Obviously not to her actual house but a meeting place in public. So we got all tarted up for the big day. And ready. However it was her that was to decide where we were to meet up. But she just wouldn't tell(where). She just basically told me to go to her town and wait for further instructions as to where to go next. I thought, but its only a date dear. I mean it's not a marriage proposal or anything serious. I don't know, to me it felt like she was (going to) leading me on a wild goose chase. Sat in my room all ready to go, I messaged her to cancel the date. Oh my the poor girl was fuming. 'why, but, how...'. I'm sorry but you've worn me out physically and mentally. Wow did she give me some stick or what. Told my friends about it. 'you are so cruel Toan' was how one put it.

So yeah I just stayed in and bashed myself silly.

Chances are she would have been crap in bed and reached orgasm too soon and then you'd have dumped her after 7- 9 months!

Well I never did find out.

I would only 'dump' her if it was mission impossible. However that won't happen!

. Mission impossible as in if she can’t orgasm? And that won’t happen as in you can guarantee it?

Worthing

I had just painted outside steps and forgot about them. Opened door later and twisted ankle stepping over and trying to avoid them.

A few weeks ago. I had a horrid eye infection. Even though it would just have been a social it was really uncomfortable and I probably wouldn't have been good company.

Literally yesterday, I was meant to have a third date with someone at the weekend but I realised I wasn't feeling it.

I think Fab is enough for me for now.

I've never cancelled on a date.

Fortunately I've never had a date cancel on me either.

I guess I'm one of the lucky few.

I don’t think I ever have. If I commit to a date I will still attend. But pinning me down to set one…that’s a whole different story…

If someone you do not already know is giving potentially creepy vibes, then it is best to cancel.

Her reaction suggests you may have dodged a bullet

So how would people classify a "date", "meet" or "social" - just curious as I see them all differently but looks as though a few posters on here conflate them. Just curious! I wouldn't call a meet or social with someone from fab a date personally.

I really don't like situations like this. If I'm travelling for the date I want to know where, when, best place to park etc a couple of days before.

Leaving stuff to the last minute or not replying to confirm that it's actually going ahead bugs the hell out of me.

Lately I've cancelled a lot of things (not just dates/meets) because of my fatigue and migraine combos.

For Me.

Date is dressed up for dinner and going out out

Meet is sexual

Playtime (yes Nora) Is kink related

Socials are generally friendzones unless our chemistry is apparent then it escalates rapidly
