After being pleasantly surprised that cruises are completely different too what I had in my head ( full of old people) cruise liners are certainly going down the route of attracting the younger crowd. Is anyone that's a cruise virgin looking too take the plunge and testing one out. Pre warning not great if you're on a diet

I hate the sea.

But that would be my only escape from all the people.

I'm not liking where it might lead.

I'll pass.

Had to really convince hubby to go on his first one due to his preconceived ideas...now his favourite type of holiday by far!

I have to admin to liking the idea of a small boat cruise to the Norwegian Fjords.

Perhaps because I'm old now

They have such a bad rep but I'm glad he's finally seen the light

I’d love to go on a cruise - but at the moment it’s not in my budget. Maybe next year - or after that - when I don’t need to pay to take the kids away too.

Booked my first cruise for the 5th time this weekend ...damn COVID!fingers crossed for November.

Although the chat groups on Facebook do not echo your younger crowd scenario lol all they seem concerned about is of the bloody launderettes are open

I went on one back in my early 20’s with my mum, step-dad and my Nan and gramp. We went to the Norwegian Ffjords as my gramp wanted to see Norway again as he had been there during the War.

It was two week cruise. I found getting dolled up every night a bit of a chore but other than that enjoyed it. Would recommend it

Aren't cruises floating petri dishes for covid, dysentery and suchlike?

North Sea ferry......fantastic night. Closest I've ever been to a cruise. 0700 start for breakfast was, shall we say, difficult

Now Ferries make me really sea sick. Went to Bilbao once via Ferry. Never again!!

To be honest, we boarded at 1800 hours, in the dark, had some food, then spent the rest of the night drinking and dancing until the early hours. The little sleep I got was in a bunk bed......that wasn't great, but there was a full English x

Would rather go on one over about 100,000tons. Small ships aren't for us
