I used to have a profile with information about me. Then I took it out and had less and less in there. I recently took it all out and have gone with just a quote from my favourite movie.

Genuinely- the less info about me the more messages I’ve got. Which tells me that once people get to know me I’m completely undesirable. .

I've added so much to my profile over the years it's got huge, but tbh it never really made much difference as to who contacts me whatever size it's been. I still get "where u at?" from people 100% unsuitable. I've managed to get rid of a little of that maybe, but not that much - some people will always only look at the pics. The main thing is that it's a reference point for those who want to read it.

If you're going really big, I have had some shit for it's size on the forum (fabguys mainly, from the angry married alphas over there who take everything personally), but every once in a while someone messages me purely just to say they appreciate it. Ok, I also get the odd message telling me there is no way they are reading all that son, but I just say that's fine by me I never fucking asked you to!

Obviously it's mainly the people who are particularly interested who will read them from the outset.

A lot of fabbers do just casually speculate by message, and probably only bother to really look at a profile text after you've got back to them first...

But that still makes a decent profile good to have, and it can save quite a bit of time covering various things in messages that turn out to be total deal breakers!

You can always refer to it too, like when you want to respond to someone on the half-chance but really can't be arsed to say that much.

Probably more people read it than people think anyway. So in short, it can shorten your inbox a bit.
