Get the buns out

With it being Good Friday, time to get those buns out. I don't know if it is a London thing, but has anyone noticed that you can longer get a humble currant bun, but you can get hot cross buns year round?

I've saw them year round. Only the one standard variety. Morrisons for sure.

Aldi or Lidl always seem to have them here. Pk 6 around 90p

I do miss a good currant bun and it is sad that there are very few decent bakers left.
