So after a few pics that show my short hair I’ve received a mix of comments from ‘it looks great’ to ‘you’re clearly gay’…who knew a hairstyle determined your sexual preferences but hey it got me thinking…

So ladies/gents what’s your thoughts on short haired woman? Have you an urge to stroke some shaved bits…or does it do nothing for you

By no means will I be growing my hair based on the comments I’m just nosey

I really like women with short hairstyles. They can look very striking. Not fussed about stroking shaved bits haha but from my own experience a head massage on freshly shaved scalp is divine! Both giving and receiving!

I think it depends..you clearly have the shape of face..looks and confidence to carry it off..so looks amazing on you! Others would not suit it..but id never judge on just hair...considering state of mine haha

C had short hair when we met but she’s grew it out more (I love the longer hair too).

What’s more important than my opinion is what she feels good with. I’ll still fancy the arse off her with long, short or no hair.

Confidence is sexy and you and C have it in abundance…you really suit short hair

I am not the biggest fan of short hair, but so many women do pull it off well and you're a great example of that. I'd be too scared to do it because I think you need a slim and petite face to really make it work. I can't imagine you with long hair.

I have no personal preference, but do love it when someone feels confident in themselves and short hair is no difference!

Does it indicate that you are gay, right wing, love Sinead O'Connor or Ellen Ripley in Aliens 3... of course not!

I do think I would enjoy running my hair across the short stubbly bits... especially if that felt good to the recipient...

Short/shaved hair elsewhere...

I’s rather have someone who is comfortable in their own skin, and not feel they have to live up to some one else's standards.

Every girl who I have had a relationship with has had short hair.

When I met the wife her hair was only a few millimetres long on the sides n about 2 inches on top, it was a 1950s style flat top n it looked great on her n a lot of people back then thought she was a lesbian.

I know it will depend on the individual (and I think some faces do suit it better than others, like all hairstyles!), but in general, I love it!

Really enjoy the feel of my hand running up the "wrong" way in very short hair (sounding crazily vain, but the same with mine when it's just cut!).

I saw a woman recently with very short back and sides and a bit of a curly mop on top and it looked gorgeous. I did wonder if I could pull it off. I feel like I'd have to style it and I'm quite lazy when it comes to doing my hair.

I've had short hair twice. Once as a teenager when I bleached it blonde and got loads of lesbian comments. The next time after I had baby number 2 as I thought it would make life easier and I'd have less grabbed and pulled out.

I liked it at the time but eventually got bored and grew it out. But looking back I don't think it really suited me. I don't have the right face shape, and wearing glasses doesn't seem to help.

I'm jealous of women who can rock that haircut though

Also, Dancer, your OP reminded me of a Judith Butler clip I have watched many times. The way we look can affirm certain ideas about our identities. - the way you dress or style your hair might lead to assumptions about your sexuality for example. Not that it really matters, the individual should just do them. Afterall good style is subjective and I'm very attracted to women who are just comfortable in their own skin.

"I think short hair looks amazing on some women, you included OP. I've recently had about 6 inches cut off mine and won't go any shorter I don't think.

After I got married I had my very long hair cut into a pixie style and sure enough got the lesbian comments!

Mine is pretty much like yours but shorter on top.

I was once told on a night out that I'd look better with long hair. I said he'd look better if I had cataracts.

I don't really have an opinion on short or long hair in general.

D, your hair really suits you. You look stunning.

When I had shaved bits I used to love having them stroked the wrong way, was a real tingle moment. Now I just love having the same bit stroked and my hair wrapped around someone's fingers. Short hair absolutely looks awful on me, so by default I go long.

It all depends on the woman, to me short hair is a sign of strength and confidence. You rock short hair, it really suits you. I know Bonnie loves your photos too.

I had mine really short about 12 years ago, definitely didn't get as much attention, everyone including me prefers it long.

I guess you have to suit it! I like other people with pixie cuts and really short bobs, I miss the shaved bit at the back of my neck lol

I don't think short hair is less feminine or long hair more so - it depends on the person rather than their hair. And why is traditional feminine held up as something we should aspire to? Anyway, I think any hair length on a woman could be attractive, it really does depend.
