Great idea. How are you meant to maintain a weight loss program and enjoy a meal out if you can’t track?

Should have stated doing it decades ago to combat raising obesity levels. The country is getting fat

Such numbers should be available for those who care. So I say yeah why not.

I really dont care. Why go to a restaurant if you are going to calorie count though? It would completely take the fun out of eating for me

I will never look at those numbers. I go out to enjoy myself once in a while. Some people might like it. Not for me. I have some sense to know what is relatively healthy or not. A simple system of green, amber and red might have worked better. I am certainly not taking a calculator with me to dinner. Others may differ

Yes, it forced me to get up on Saturday to push Parkrun, after a 2am bedtime! Bloody pizza

I think of it in the same way I think of alcohol units on wine bottles, useful for anyone who wants to know.

I'm not sure how useful it will be in isolation though. I've spoken to people who think parking a quarter of a mile away from the shops is equivalent to running a marathon.

Because some of us go out to eat at times when we need to keep calories tight and under control for a particular sport or competition.

Ultimately, is more info ever bad?

If you don’t want it don’t read it

Those that do, use it

Millionaires probably don’t need to price of stuff when they do shopping at Waitrose. But I’d still like the price please

I think it’s a positive for those who want to know. Sometimes I want to be in denial about the calories when I’m eating something tasty but now it’s there on the menu I can’t not see it.

Yes it's a great idea. I would say that most people I know count calories so it would be beneficial for those who do log what they eat.

Yes and no. It can be useful for people to track their intakes but it may also be a problem for those with EDs that obsess over calories. I don't know how to fix this though, maybe two choices of menus - one with, one without?
