Send them a 16 part text message declaring undying love and 12 reasons why they’re a shithead. Delete all signs of them from social media. Order in a pizza. Reflect on all the other hotties you could have dated. Howl into your pillow. Sleep. Wake up.

Do it all again for at least two weeks until you really block them on everything and everything. Go out. Shag anything with a pulse. Book a 2 week holiday with a beach to sit on and reflect on.

Distraction is key, spend time doing things you enjoy, and remember time heals. Try and do lots of fun stuff, not just sex, but other activities. Join some social groups and clubs, not swinging related but of course you can enjoy the swinging scene as a single man too, do a bit of allsorts that makes you feel good in yourself.

I found the best way is to focus on yourself, see friends, spend time with them.

If you can afford it, travel!!

It really does wonder for the soul.

Also , sit with your emotions. It can feel shitty but trust me, it’s part of the process and you will have to eventually face it. So… yeah x

When I was absolutely heart broken, I booked a last min retreat (I think I booked it 2 days before going lol) and met some amazing people there, and it is what I needed. Much better than if I hooked up with guys. (I’d have felt shit afterwards)

Hmm… not my experiences on there. Very rarely come across fakes and I dunno about “most” people not going on it. Although it’s not as easy now, back few years back I’d reliably pull 1-2 times a week no issue. Now it’s a little less but still pretty good. And compared to here where it’s 1000:1 men:women? No competition

It's alright to feel sad, so allow yourself to feel however you're feeling. I've never been through a breakup but I would be such a mess I just know it. If you want to meet someone, do it. If you just want to keep yourself to yourself then do that and just take it one day at a time.

Go join a sports group. Plenty of CrossFit places that are known for having great communities. Or martial arts, 5 a side football is huge everywhere and always looking for players. Great for breaking the ice with lots of new people and gets you fit and healthy. Plus beers after!

In the mean time fuck a lot of women, make a list of things you want to do and then do them. Spend time around your friends and family, make new friends take up a new hobby.

All those questions can have a bearing on how your feeling and what you need to make you smile again.

Simple answer, probably not the one you would expect from here either is to do what ever you want to do. What does make you happy, what did you used to do before this relationship to put a smile on your face?

Iv done this and I did it very very quickly after a split. Why didn’t anyone bring me fried noodles? I love Chinese food.

I do recommend it though. It was a pleasurable distraction and I didn’t feel worse after.
