Any forumites from Burnley? I need to know where I can go for a run that’s relatively traffic free

Apart from local knowledge, have you searched any Strava routes?

I also use the OS Maps app, that had plenty of routes for walking, running and cycling

It's always good to know where the locals are, in case you get caught short whilst out for a run

Well, that would be nice but I don’t think there are any forumites from Burnley

Big fuck off hill just outside of Burnley. Pendle Hill. So long as you are not a witch you'll be fine around there

I’m in the middle of nowhere, but found a run route. The chances of getting a meet are looking doubtful

Which pub are you in?

As for running Towneley Park is where Burnley Parkrun is and is quite a nice run, no traffic, all paths (tarmac, gravel and sand)

Get on the canal the embankment is stunning

I get on in town Centre and run down the embankment the mill owners built it instead of loads of locks

You a good height over the town see for miles
