Also, think better of yourself. There's enough people who will try and put you down so why not combat that with self love? Being proud of you and confident in who you are.

Note, I'm not saying be silly. If someone said they want a gym fit, size 8 toned blonde, I'd not message them. Realistic. But not hard on yourself.

I would say no, you have nothing to lose so just go for it, you never know.

However I am guilty of this, there are 2 things I look for in terms of veris and either 1 will prevent me from messaging them.

PD and Jaime, you're both attractive from what I can see of your photos. Plus Jaime, you have such a gorgeous voice! We don't quite see ourselves accurately do we? Not how others do.

I think honestly it just comes from a place of being a tad hungover and a tad tired of beating myself up for not being an "ideal". I'm fat, there's no denying that. But do you know what? Sod it. I quite like my wobbly self. I actually think I can look kind of sexy cute sometimes. So maybe tap in to things that give you that boost, talk to people who make you smile and help you realise your worth. You both have heaps of it, you just need to realise that.

But back to the OP. Nope. You have to bear in mind that whilst some have specific, tight preferences for all manner of things (body style, age etc) others look at people as individuals.

There may be some who won't diverge from wanting the same thing over and over and who will go for identical looking people time and time again. Other will be different.

Assuming you don't meet someone's criteria (unless it's blatantly obvious you don't through what you've read) is just adding another hurdle that's unnecessary. It's hard enough trying to find suitable folk to contact without putting up barriers yourself.

So go for it. The worst that will happen is they say no, or you get no reply. Which is the same result as not bothering to message in the first place.

No we go for it…although we are realistic in who we contact.

If it’s some 20 something year old hottie then we’ll pass a compliment on rather than go all in.

Veri’s are checked more so we can see how they interact - too graphic and we won’t message.

But we don’t see anyone out of our league, more out of what we consider our sweet spot.

If it’s some 20 something year old hottie then we’ll pass a compliment on rather than go all in.

Veri’s are checked more so we can see how they interact - too graphic and we won’t message.

But we don’t see anyone out of our league, more out of what we consider our sweet spot.

As a relative newcomer to the forum I’ve seen lots of posts that made me want to know more about people.

As a man I’m pretty reluctant to approach the females directly because well, I’m outside most ‘looking for’ age ranges, and I’m carrying some extra inches around my waist.

But I’d love to hear from anyone who wants to explore my humour and my imaginative writing skills.
