Does anyone still use rollers in their hair?

I've had my hair cut, quite short for me, a few inches above shoulder level.

I really love the way the hairstylist blow dried it with a big curled brush. It's bouncy.

She advised getting big rollers instead of trying to do the style with a hairdryer by myself.

I'm typically crap trying to recreate the style, so any recommendations for rollers would be most welcome

Velcro rollers, can be bought from pound shop or cheap chemist, get some mousse, root lifting stuff. Bit of you-tube tutorial watching. The give it a whirl.

I'm utterly rubbish at my own hair and they worked a treat to give it volume.

Happy experimenting...

Manchester (she/her)

Does your hair form waves or curls when it's wet?

If so, you might be able to do similar without rollers - look up plopping.

Have a look at the Babyliss big hair, hair dryer. It's got a rotating brush that makes blow drying really easy.

Thank you! I hadn't thought of using mousse and the hairdresser did use it yesterday.

Excited to get trying.

Also hang your head upside down and rough dry the roots first

Not really, maybe a little kink on the ends but pretty much straight otherwise

It works on mine which is medium thick. I section it off (after rough drying) by just putting a crocodile clip in and dry one bit at a time. They're great in my opinion

Thank you! Will look it up and probably order one soon.

Why not buy some rollers then get a hairdresser appointment and ask her to show you how to use them.
