"In two weeks you wont be able to book an appointment with a doctor at my surgery. You will speak to a receptionist and they will put you on the doctors call back list. The doctor will then ring you, talk to you and see if you need to go and see him. You will phone up for everything on the dday, for example if you was a woman ringing to book your post natal check up, you wouldnt book it in advance but would ring on the day and get seen. I was a bit apprehensive when i heard about this, but im not apposed to the idea. The receptions will be working all day so they wont need to be an onflux of calls at 8.30, people will be staggered through out the day. Has anyone else's medical practice started doing this" Not only that but our surgery is an 0845 number you ring and have to hold so they cost ticks over while you wait .. I now will only go to surgery and speak to someone. cheeky sods | |||
