I see loads of profiles /messages from guys saying they are looking for “females”, and I can’t read them without hearing the dad from Friday Night Dinners

I hate it when people do that, somewhere in the back of my mind I always hear it spoken by David Attenborough narrating a wildlife documentary.

I'd never heard anyone refer to women like that until I watched FND.

Absolutely love Martin from FND, Mr NBVN is like him in so many ways and apparently I am likened to Jackie

So many one liners from FND are said in this household by us and the bambino's.

NBVN x

I started a thread a week or two back about the same thing. All I can picture is Friday Night Dinner. It was meant to be light hearted and descended into over 100 posts with words like misogyny being bandied about. I know no-one who would say female out loud without being ironic

Omg this was such a classic programme. So said what happened to the dad in it.

I highly recommend this show if you want a good laugh. Plus this was filmed quite close to my parents house so I know a lot of the places used in the series ha

Friday Night Dinner is great. Very funny characters. I'm Jewish and can see relatives in some of the characters, but it's just a nice family centered comedy. It's totally worth a watch

Crimble crumble? Lovely!"

We'd never heard of Friday night dinner. In the first lockdown we asked on here for comedy recommendations, it got mentioned and we watched all of them

Never heard of that show, but it does rub me up the wrong way when people call women "females". It's so degrading and impersonal

Missus
