Do you get confused by people flirting and making sexual overtones in the forum but when you look their profile directly excludes you from what they are looking for

Some people flirt with everyone and that's ok, it's just harmless banter and doesn't often mean anything more than flirting.

Forums are forums ,what a person says on them is only their mood or take on them at that particular moment, they have their profile up and are looking for what they want , do not confuse forums with a person's profile , two different things altogether , well that's what l think anyway.

The forum should come with a warning ‘do not take anything said in here as reality, as it is just words and they mean none of it’

I can see why some would take it seriously and then feel butt hurt when it’s not.

Personally, I don’t say anything I don’t mean, that way there is no confusion. Nothing ‘bants’ about messing with peoples feelings, some need to remember that and how they’d feel if it was switched on them

That's because the difference is so subtle as to be indiscernible. The amount of times I've had a partner get the hump with me because someone has been overtly flirting with me and I just thought they were being friendly is just daft

Has also happened when single and I've been accused of spurning advances
