Would you tell someone if they didn't look the same as their face pic?

For instance they send you a face pic which they had taken 20 ago years, they tell you they are 40 and look 60, do you confront them about it or just continue with the meet.

I'm afraid my face would say it all to be honest. Hopefully it's a social meeting whereas you could stay out of politeness and then cut it short and explain they weren't what you expected given the age they claimed to be and the out of date photos. What else could they be lying about?

Err we’d rent mobility scooters and cruise the streets.

Then probably bingo.

I’d treat them the same as I’d expect to be treated when I’m 60 and lying on FAB about being 40.

You lot are so picky.

Make a change from people telling me they’re 35 and look about 15.

land of make believe

It says on my profile that I won't entertain people being disingenuous including pictures that are not an accurate representation so I would say something although I do always ask if I am what was expected.

I usually try for a videocall prior to a meet so this wouldn't happen.

Naa, but I'd ask when the pic was taken, so they know, you know

Happened to me on my second social a few weeks ago, I did say address it and she basically said her pictures are from 2010. Hence my insistence on a live chat now before a meet. She wasn’t offended about me bringing it up, she was fairly brazen about it to be honest, Out of politeness I finished the coffee we ordered but made it clear it wasn’t going any further.

If my mouth didn’t say it, my face would!

If I was meeting for a “meet” I would never do so without a video call in the first place.

This place is full of catfish

I had this happen to me recently. The pic the guy sent must've been from 25 years ago. I didn't say anything to him about it though. I really did want to, but I didn't want to make him feel negative about himself as he was nervous enough anyway. I had insisted on a social thankfully so had a nice chat and left it at that.

If you haven't met or cammed how do you know that's not what they look like now?

Why tell them? And are they still hot? Some people look nicer than their photos.

I said hello and goodbye in the same breath. He had lied about his height, age and face pic. If I had stayed he would probably go on deceiving people. By going I hoped he would think twice in future.

this is happening more and more often ...if someone turns up not as they say they are age size old pics then they will be bluntly but politly told and will walk away ... or they just carry on doing it .... people lying about age and using old pics to cover up is creepy at best and its not just guys plenty of women not being truthful ...

If they hadn't been honest about when photo was taken then I'd be concerned about what else they weren't telling me. I'd leave pretty sharpish if it was meant to be more than a social

the amount of people on here using 40s/50s as there age but closer to 60s / 70s is massive ...

you only have to go to clubs to see the lies couples who have a few drinks and the storys dont add up to there age .... we had one guy talking about crashing his ford in 1972 when he was 21 this guy in on fab as a 50 year old yet do the maths hes 71

I'd continue with the social and make it perfectly clear whether I wanted to continue, after all some 60 year olds are bloody sexy

Disclaimer: before my inbox goes into meltdown. I am not looking to meet

This is why we always use to ask for a face photo taken alongside a copy of the day's newspaper, clearly showing the date. Preferably face on and side on so we could tell how long someone's nose was, as well as how much their ears stuck out.

I learnt all the best tips for life on Fab from watching such cinematic masterpieces as 'Proof of Life' with Russell Crowe.

I’d say and end the meet, unless they’re still attractive to me and continue the meet but I’d still ask afterwards what’s up with the outdated pics.

I don’t think it’s shallow it’s just politely asking peeps to show the real them like pics in last 6 months is not a lot to ask is it? Just my thoughts anyways

Don't think its shallow, just think people should be honest about their age's, don't see the point of deceiving people.

Yes I was in this situation recently and cut it off, new pictures and fab pictures were clearly taken years apart. If they deceive you from the start, what else is to come.

It has happened to me and I did ask them about it.

He'd taken years off his age to get around filters, and had used photos from when he genuinely was that age.

I had a chat while I finished my drink but let him know it wouldn't be going further and I couldn't verify him as he wasn't the person he was claiming to be.

Nope. It's just one of many reasons we have a social only meet first.
