Hi all, thought I'd ask a question. How do others with young family find time to dress up and actually have sexy time. Normally once our kids are in bed we are either mentally or physically exhausted, often both lol. We love to dress up and make the effort but it's finding the time and energy for such things. Now know why a lot of swinging is done by young people before kids or older people where kids have moved out.

Afraid you have to get divorced so the kids are split 50/50 it’s the only way!!

There is no real answer apart from exercise and eating the right foods! We had a terrible funk for a few years where we did nothing and became boring. We both decided to change that, get healthier and feel much better and have much more energy! Dont get me wrong still knackered but motivation has been improved.

Think you're misunderstanding. Lol nothing wrong with our diets etc, just finding time when kids are young is hard work.

We have 3 older teens/twenties kids in the house and they just don't go to bed early at all, half 12, 1 they are still kicking about. It's a fookin nightmare!

I think, unfortunately this is something the male half has to step up for.

First of all i am not saying there is anything wrong with your other half OP but it is normally the lady who dresses in lingerie and therefore requires the time to relax and prepare for what might be to come.

So my suggestion would be you will have to pick a day (it could be on the day) when the man says ok the kids are mine from a certain time and leave the lady to relax have a bath and when they are in bed and he is having a shower it is time to put the lingerie on

At this point no matter how knackered he thought he was seeing you dressed he will find the energy lol or there is always viagra

You may be tired but make an effort anyway, foreplay should turn you on and the tiredness will go. Also maybe send the kids to their grandparents and have some hotel breaks, or club nights.

Have no suggestions as we are in the same situation but just wanted to say you are not alone. I am often envious of all the free time some of single friends have without their kids when they are with the other parent. Our only time we have is if the kids go to grandparents but that’s when we tend to go out and don’t end up spending time together at home with each other. Everyone keeps telling us to enjoy the kids now as before you know it they are all grown up and not around so much but we do find ourselves wishing the years away sometimes.

Sorry wasn't implying that, thought you meant having energy after kids have gone to bed. My apologies, finding time is our problem too and the motivation.

I think so many of us can identify with this. Kids are massive cock/vagina blocks. Sometimes when you find that kid free time and space you just want to relax and rest. But to be honest its ok not to be ravenous sometimes and just enjoy each others company. The truth is kids do steal your time and energy and despite desiring lustful things your both just often left knackered. Basically its the kids fualt and I think we all envy the freedom and energy of childless couples. But them's the breaks, despite it all we would be without our kids. Just remember to enjoy each others company, to laugh together, hold each other and not to overthink the lack of energy for sex or lack of interesting sex. And you have to both be creative in making opportunities and be realistic about the situation and what can be achieved. So we don't always make a huge effort because we want to just priorities being together and having a filthy time when we can. So sometimes lingerie, hair and extravagant rope work plays second fiddle to just getting naked and fucking. Also having children and a busy life can make you masters of the opportunistic quicky (which can be incredibly hot).

The good news is kids grow up, hopefully move out and there's not set expiry date on your sex life.

As a single parent, us mums would take it turns to have the kids for sleep overs when any of us were dating/having fun. Is that a possibility? I was lucky with grandparents looking after mine for a weekend, but that was only one child!
