I hold them in around anyone. I don't like people farting when near me, so I'm not going to do it to anyone else. It's easy enough to go to the toilet and do it behind a closed door if you really need to.

I do remember years ago on a coach trip I went alone and had another woman who went alone sat next to me was a long journey back I needed to fart but held it in!my tummy was really painfull I got of first and god that was a relief to let it go!

I don’t fart in front of friends, colleagues and strangers. But at home with my husband? Yep. It’s agonising holding it in sometimes and we’re totally relaxed around each other. As another poster said, he’s seen me give birth and in every other unladylike state over the years, he doesn’t even blink at a little lady love puff.

I was very embarrassed when my last boyfriend decided to tickle me when we got undressed for bed and I needed a wee unfortunately I couldn't hold in a fart and a wee so he tickled me and I farted! I do, or I try to go into a different room. Or if we're stuck in the car and I can't hold it in, I would at least wind the window down and waft it out.

That's nothing better than when you've stayed the night with someone and in the morning when they're not there, you can let out the massive trump you've been holding in. Such a relief!

Honestly, I'd rather not be in agony. I'd barely reach the door before hunching over in pain. Rapid intestinal gas expansion is not even slightly fun to endure. So I'd certainly much rather upset or offend somebody by doing it than go through the pain

they rarely ever smell though but audibly they can be pure comedy gold, especially if you act it out by whipping around real quickly or pretending the floor boards are knackered

or blame it on the kids or a nearby seagull. We fart around eachother all the time and they still make us giggle but I wouldn't dream of doing it infront of someone outside of our family.

Hell no. Why should you have to hold it in and give yourself stomach ache. Mr has seen me in some states incl childbirth so what does it matter. I don't think a fart is going to make him turn away from me, well, not unless I've eaten mushrooms and then fart, then he might turn away and grab the air freshener.
