Personally, I’m being serious for a moment, I genuinely do talk about things like race and other ‘woke’ topics way too much to pretend that I could have regular encounters with people that didn’t have similar outlooks on those things to me. Why must the left always be so vociferously vocal in their opinion? My preference is to keep political threads in the politics segment. It’s why there is one. There’s just no passing by the endless lefty whinging of some people without being smacked by their opinion at the next turn.

I wouldn’t know if I were meeting a Tory but I can see I’d hear the loutish left coming from miles out irrespective of my lack of interest in their political views.

Haven’t read the thread but I don’t care how anyone votes. We’re unlikely to get on if we have very opposing views though. It really isn’t something I’d bring up on meeting someone anyway.
