Some of my more creative shots have been the result of forum photo challenges others it’s been a lucky angle or lighting. I enjoy taking pics and I think people can see my confidence and that’s perhaps attractive - personally I try to make a bit of effort, declutter the background, try some different poses etc sometimes it works and sometimes it doesn’t but it’s fun to play around with ideas xx

In a ball gown because that's how we roll in N. Devon

I know that as someone who looks at a lot of ladies' pics on here and thinks "I'd look bloody daft doing that, I'm twice the size of her", I often struggle for inspiration. It's why I like running photo challenges, it makes me think outside the box a bit, use props, a specific item of clothing or whatever.

But... when I do find the will to take pics outside of those times, I put on something I feel good in, or get nekkid, and pick a piece of furniture, or a location (bed, stairs, shower, sofa) and point the camera at it... on video. It's less posing and more messing about and playful.

Then I watch it back, cringe a LOT especially at the faces I pull and the flopping about like a sealion, and do screengrabs from it which I then crop the hell out of.

I find I get more interesting shots that way, a lot of which I'd not have thought of, and some of which I will then recreate if I like the idea but not the image.

I hope that somewhere in that waffle you find something useful
