The soundtrack of a comedy film called Genevieve from 1953 is entirely composed and played by a once very famous harmonica virtuoso called Larry Adler.

The film is about the London to Brighton veteran car run; the soundtrack is a masterpiece.

I think it won an award; it isn't to everyone's taste, and harmonicas (or mouth organs) are very rarely heard nowadays, but the manner in which Adler's playing is attuned to the action is masterful

The film is very often broadcast on TPTV.

Stands the test of time, good quality examples are consistently the most expensive on the original movie poster market

There is a website that visits all the locations of this (and other) films. I think it is called Reel Streets. The IMDB website lists all the locations, under the heading production.

The film is credited with reviving the London to Brighton and the two cars, a Darracq and a Spyker are on display in a museum in Leeuwen in the Netherlands

One of the actresses, Kay Kendall, died very young; and Kenneth More died aged 67 from Parkinson's.

The interesting fact about one million years BC is that no-one actually speaks during the entire film, and it is factually inaccurate in that humans and dinosaurs never lived at the same time on Earth.

It was filmed in the Tieda National Park in Tenerife in 1965, when Racquel was 25, and she still can turn heads, to this day.

The very famous animator, Ray Harryhausen, did all the dinosaur action.

My personal favourite soundtrack is Witness from 1985, in particular the Amish barn-raising scene.

The soundtrack from 2001: A Space Odyssey is superb, especially The Blue Danube.

That avant-garde film by Stanley Kubrick, inspired by Arthur C Clarke's book, The Sentinel, was first released 54 years ago, fifty-four!

If it is in pristine condition, without tears or staining, it could be worth a couple of hundred.

Reg Barney's series, and the three movie spin-offs, were exceptionally popular fifty years ago. Regrettably, Anna Karin died very recently in a house fire; in real life she was a true stunner who was an impeccable dresser.

Reg Varney, a successful comedian died in the Actors' retirement home in north London; I think from Alzheimer's.

In an era before Freeview and Sky,etc., On The Buses had massive audiences, and is fondly remembered; although the last film had low production values.
