Or more specifically messaging straight guys with the intention of chatting them up (as sometimes guys message guys for other reasons). First, this is not one of those having a go threads. More genuinely looking for advise (if you are one of these guys) to how you would prefer to be treated as I don't think messing anyone around is good for anyone.

Would you prefer:

Message undread

Message deleted

No thanks reply

Personally it seems to me when you have no intention or requiring futher conversation a delet message is? It's not like you owe anyone your time for an unsolicited message. Is that overly rude to just delete? Just trying to save everyone a bit hassle and the sender any undue optimism. People will understand won't they?

I fuck guys but...

I never message straight guys, and

I delete 99% of messages from other guys

Again, this is not a dig, but guys, we could do this so much better

Be human, not transactional, in your approaches

Most guys just want a quick bit of fun whether that be male or female. On another well-known app that is often how guys message. I just ignore ,delete or block. If it's a well return kind message but I'm not interested I may politely decline.

You could just block guys from messaging you if you don’t want them messaging you. Otherwise ignore/delete unless you read it and think it genuinely deserves a reply of some sort.

I don't have this issue as I have all guys blocked. Saves any confusion on their part.
