What are your favourite rides at Alton Towers whether it's a rollercoaster or a flat ride?

Mine has to be Hex: The Legend of the Towers. I love the spooky atmosphere it creates and the story of the legend the ride is based on.

I was always scared of rollercoasters that went too fast in my youth so something like the Dragon Ride was as fast as I could handle

Now I'm older, I'd like to try to faster ones but haven't been in ages!

It's now called Galactica. It used to have VR headsets but they're gone now.

That's the one that got closed down due to an accident right? Remember being in the news a few years back

Last time my husband and I went to Alton Towers we went on every single one of the big rides, it ended up with me not being able to walk properly after getting off Nemesis and puking up when I was back at the hotel. It totally knocked my balance for six. Never again will I do that.

by the big field

Went several times from the early 80's to early 00's. Can remember several excellent rides, with the Black Hole being a favourite (pitch black for most of it, very odd when stoned )

Also remember The Thunderlooper, a fast single loop that went forward, then held at the top briefly, before dropping backwards with a rather sudden stop back at the station.

The Ripsaw was good if you fancied a soaking in the summer and I remember the old 3D immersive cinema where an entire row of children fell on the floor when the car flew off the cliff.

Lets not forget the good old Corkscrew though, possibly the first decent coaster ride for many thousands- scared the shite out of me the first time
