It appeals to my artistic and erotic side.

I take lots of photos of my kids, dogs and nature too. Not just of my nakedness.

I quite enjoy taking photos for fab, I like to be creative and it’s given me confidence.

I also take photos to measure what progress I’ve made fitness wise. I think it’s a good way to see for yourself how your body changes

Personally I never use photos to masturbate, but I take your point. I've have to accept that I can't control who is doing it over mine once I make them public.

I hate pics of my face even if taken by others and always thought any body pics I took for here were crap.

During the first lockdown I had plenty of time to practice and improve.

I don't take them for fabs luckily but sometimes just for a laugh and other times because I'm in the mood to take them.

I was invisible for decades so the pics are also a good way of reminding myself that I'm no longer invisible.

Others seem to like them even if that isn't reflected by fabbing but I'm happy with them.

In order to take better photos you need to take more - it's a bit of a vicious cycle. I usually take selfies when the light is really soft and flattering. And turn around slowly with my phone pointed at me until I find a good angle/light. Taking a photo you're happy with will make you feel more confident, I think.

Mostly we take pictures of eachother, but I have taken pictures of myself for fab. I enjoy taking them and finding a good one amongst the dross. When you take lots of selfies and they all look terrible it's not a nice feeling, but it's such a boost to find a good one and share it on here.

Outside of fab I mostly take pictures of family life so I can bore relatives and friends with images of how the kids are growing

"I quite enjoy taking photos for fab, I like to be creative and it’s given me confidence.

I also take photos to measure what progress I’ve made fitness wise. I think it’s a good way to see for yourself how your body changes

I've never have thought of that. Is that the reason for today's photo?

Haha no it’s not if I’m honest. I tend to keep the progress type for Instagram "

That makes sense. I do like thigh photos

No. No not vain. I know exactly what it's like when a partner doesn't find you attractive and how empowering it is to find that you are. I'm glad you're embracing it!

Outside of fab I mostly take pictures of family life so I can bore relatives and friends with images of how the kids are growing "

My kids won't let me take pics of them now. I have to be sneaky. So I take pics of my boobs instead

Quite a few people have said they take several pics and maybe one or two is any good. I take about 50 each time I can be arsed to get the tripod out. I like the way you (and others) say you "share" the photos.

For this website, take a bunch of pics and pick the best. Too many stick at one first-time snap and seem to get put off by taking more. Fab allows for over 1000 so it's ok to have a couple!

Just spend a bit of time on it I say. If you the like the results you'll feel glad about it I think. (I'm not putting myself forward as an example), but the more 'content' you can stretch too, the more authentic you will look on here I think.

-I think you've done a good job too. If you want more, you could try taking a load of pics of each other and just picking the very best? Spend a night on it when your in the mood maybe.

Professional glamour photographers have always snapped loads ever since they were able to quickly change film. Now we have digital photography we can just keep shooting. I think ppl can still have ideas of everything being framed with one big 'snap', but that is very old fashioned now. Things can be harder with phones at times though, they warp certain angles and are not really perfect cameras. I've seen people put that to 'good use' though, especially from behind and below! Conversely those assets can be made to feel narrow and small too!

Personally have always hated it (actually phobic of having my pic taken at all since I was 3) but since accepting I'm trans have found it to be a lot easier. Think subliminally I just didn't want my old male side to be captured, I hated it so much. That's how I discovered my femme side, and always was at ease being photographed as a woman, but again that wasn't really me at the time, it was escapism. These days I'm working on it, challenged myself to do a selfie a day. Not sharing it with anyone but so far have kept it up!

For anyone with a computer (though you can prob do this on your phone too), upload a video from your phone or camera, pause it at a point you like, and press WINDOWS KEY with the PrtScrn key to take an image (it will appear in Screeshots in your Pictures folder in Library).

Capturing still video can be a good way of taking/choosing good pics, and the resolution and lighting might not be as harsh too (a good thing imo, as real life is rarely as brutal and a phone camera can be!).

Winston hates having his photo taken, he's very self conscious about his looks and body image, so this is a big step for him.

"Personally have always hated it (actually phobic of having my pic taken at all since I was 3) but since accepting I'm trans have found it to be a lot easier. Think subliminally I just didn't want my old male side to be captured, I hated it so much. That's how I discovered my femme side, and always was at ease being photographed as a woman, but again that wasn't really me at the time, it was escapism. These days I'm working on it, challenged myself to do a selfie a day. Not sharing it with anyone but so far have kept it up!"

That's so interesting that you feel more relaxed now - it shows in your photos too. I remember the first time I took a proper self-portrait. It felt like the camera was my enemy. I wasn't very happy at the time - I guess photographs really do reflect our state of mind.

"For anyone with a computer (though you can prob do this on your phone too), upload a video from your phone or camera, pause it at a point you like, and press WINDOWS KEY with the PrtScrn key to take an image (it will appear in Screeshots in your Pictures folder in Library).

Capturing still video can be a good way of taking/choosing good pics, and the resolution and lighting might not be as harsh too (a good thing imo, as real life is rarely as brutal and a phone camera can be!).

People still using PrtScrn? You know Windows and Mac have a built in Screen Snipping tool these days so you can just select the part you want?

-Well personally I'd do that from my image viewer, after opening the image in Screenshots. I don't think Windows 10 has what you say set up automatically does it? WINDOWS and prtscn is always there."

--Looks like it's swings and roundabouts. WINDOWS KEY plus SHIFT plus S gets you the area grabbing tool, which cuts to the chase if you do want to select the best part of the image (and it's often worth doing). Then it's a couple of clicks to save it (first on the corner image that appears, then on the save icon on what pops up next) - it saves into Pictures.

You've got 23 photos - you've nothing to say about them?

"We're talking about a boudoir style photo shoot, mostly for me, but Winston has said he's happy to be in a few.

Winston hates having his photo taken, he's very self conscious about his looks and body image, so this is a big step for him.

Lady Astor "

It's great that Winston feels up to the challenge - will look out for the results

"I enjoy taking pictures, it is really helping my with my confidence. Its a bit like a photographic journal.

First and foremost, I take them for me and how I feel like expressing myself on that particular day. "

I think that sounds perfect! - I really relate to that. I take my photos for me and share some here because it's sharing a little of me.

Until I joined fab I rarely took photos of myself.. certainly not in lingerie.

Still don’t like face/selfie photos but I enjoy taking creative photos & it has done wonders for my confidence. I can actually look at pictures now & think yeah I don’t look too bad for a middle aged woman.
