Rewind.

Would come in really handy on lottery nights.

And when I forget to lock the loo door and the MIL walks in whilst I'm dropping the kids at the pool.

Rewind.

I'll suffer the horrible marriage to spend time as a child with my parents and friends, then to see my children and grandchildren grow up again.

Rewind so I can make other choices. ( Assuming I remember everything that will happen)

Pause so I can mess with people.

Choices..

With the pause button, do I pause too? Or can I press pause and sleep as long as I want then restart time?

Reply privatelyReply in forumReply +quote

By (user no longer on site)

Pause.

I have no real regrets because I always try and do the right thing, so even though there is shit in my life I’d rather didn’t happen, I wouldn’t be who I am without it.

I’d rather be able to pause the beautiful moments and live in them longer.

There's always a "What if" thought every now and again, so a rewind button is an option.

However, would it have turned out any better... Who knows.

Better to have the life you have now, than a "What if" or "Maybe".

Rewind to tell myself how fast life is travelling.

You dont know when you are in your teens how fast 40 and 50 gets you.

Worked since I was 18 and never had much chance to stop and enjoy myself.

Neither.

Past is done and dusted.

Pause seems pointless.

This moment, right here and now, is where the living is happening. Pausing it means the things planned for tomorrow take even longer to arrive.

So neither.

Neither. Always onwards and upwards. There’s a reason the rear view mirror is smaller than the windscreen.

I accept that if I can’t keep up then others will carry on - so no need for a pause button.

Pause? No thank you.

Rewind? Perhaps. But then no, not really . Things may at times not have gone how I would have liked or preffered, but it's all made me who I am now.

And I'm a pretty fucking nice person, considering.

So, I'll stick with the now.
