At a group social, that it'll be noisy and my tinnitus will make it difficult to hear people. I end up sat there smiling and nodding with no idea what I've just been asked.

At an individual social, if I don't know the person, I worry about just why the hell they are even interested in me.

"What's your biggest worry when going to a meet or social get together?

I don’t usually have any worries about a first time meet, social or otherwise. By that point, I’ve built a bit of a rapport through messages, and like to have had a phone chat (best way to find out if someone is genuine, and serious about meeting).

On the day though, they get 20 minutes to be late, then I’m out of there

This is what puts me off!

I’ve also had a few messages where I’ve thought it was going well, they’ve seemed nice and normal, I’ve had intentions to meet, they ask to meet, I say “I can’t that week, I’m away/working” etc. they’ve seen it as a blow off and absolutely lost their shit!

I was going to meet that guy!

And let me tell you, they had happened more than once!

"What's your biggest worry when going to a meet or social get together?"

Have i got the right address? will any of neighbours recognise me? will the people I’m meeting even open the door?

All that makes me really anxious

"Personal safety. "

People have a personal responsibility to ensure their own safety and well being.

While I may make it abundantly clear up front we like certain things, it doesn’t reduce the risks for them or us.

We do what we can to try and alleviate peoples concerns.

Nothing worries us. We’ll have chatted to them, exchanged plenty of pics…so it’s just a continuation of the sexy conversation we’ve built up to meeting…
