What fascinating fact have you learnt today?

Today I found out it takes nearly 2 years for a baby flamingo to turn pink.....

Do you know why? Clue: what they eat, not their natural colour.

If you have a recurring cold, it might be down to the fact that you aren't having enough rest or taking in enough fluids.

They metabolise the carotenoid pigments in the algae of the brine shrimp they eat. Turns their white/grey feathers pink. That's why it takes two years for it to come through.

I found out that undinism means an obsession with or sexual pleasure derived from urination and urine.

land of make believe

Glaciers and ice sheets hold about 69 percent of the world's freshwater!

I also discovered today that I am not as irresistible as I thought I was

So logically then, if you fed them carrots they'd turn orange and if you fed them beetroot they'd be purple?

Where can I buy a flamingo?

That's interesting because I do have a recurring cold, it lasts for 24/48 hours and goes away as soon as I rest and by default drink more.

I didn't learn this today, but many who read this will:
