Shows films you don’t think live upto the hype

What films/shows have you watched recently that you were recommended to watch and do not think they lived upto the hype?

Recently for me I watched boiling point on Netflix and I just didn’t rate it. Although the lead actor Stephen Graham is very good in other films/shows boiling point was just lukewarm for me.

How about yourselves?

For me some films -

1917 was overhyped

Dune was overhyped

That ww2 with tom hardy as the pilot was quite a slog and way over hyped

All the marvel movies of last few years just rinse repeat

The newest James bind was very middle as well

Not saying any of them are cash or not worth watching , just the critics bigger them up way to much

I found it quite tedious and very lacking to start with. The film is good but I wasn’t blown away with it remotely Be intersting to see if it gets funding for part 2 and messiah

Schitts Creek, everyone I know love it. I found it quite boring but I can see why those I know would enjoy it. Not for me.

Reacher, started watching it but I didn’t think it was anything special.

Thought ‘Boiling Point’ was Ok, but it’s just another experimental film with its camera work. Nothing special.

They’ll be more but these are off the top of my head
