"I’ve got a piece of butterflied lamb leg in the slow cooker, I’ll have it with homemade roasties and some mixed veg " We had lamb roast at the weekend. I love lamb but twice in a week is a bit much.

"Butternut squash, salmon and pea risotto" Sadly it's me who doesn't like salmon. Need to have more veg though so the pea risotto sounds good, maybe with garlic roasted chicken thighs?

"I'm having roast honey and garlic salmon with a greek salad kind of (roast tomatoes, feta, cucumbers, cara_elized red onion) and lambs lettuce. What about doing something fairly easy, like a roast chicken with various sides to go with it? You could do macaroni cheese, chips, salad. Or lasagne with garlic bread and salad. Sharing platter style saves you doing a lot." Macaroni cheese with salad and garlic bread sounds good. Thanks.

"We've got some family members staying with us for a while and all of the cooking appears to have fallen to me. Now I don't really mind as it's something I enjoy and I'm pretty good at it, even if I do say so myself. The problem is deciding what to cook. I ask them what they fancy and the only answers I get are, "we don't mind", "anything", "whatever you like", etc, etc. I'm struggling for ideas now as it's been going on for a while so tell me what you're having this evening and see if I can find some inspiration." Have a little look at the'Favourite recipe' thread as might give you some inspiration in there. One pot dishes are good if you have lots to feed or of course something like Lasagne or pasta and meatballs or egg and chips
