Hey hive mind. If a person politely asked you for feedback on their profile after you've looked at it, good or bad, what would you normally do? Would you give them some feedback or just ignore it?

Depends on who it was and how they asked.

Depends on who they are. They could ask in the forum and get loads of feedback. Some people get all the feedback and don’t bother changing the profile, which I guess are a form of “look at me posts”.

To be fair, it's impossible to do all that's advised as it's usually contradictory depending on who posted their thoughts.

Cock pics... but no cock pics.

Pics of man hanging put of a woman... none of these pics.

Etc

Depends on the person

One or two profiles can trigger me a bit you’d never guess although.

Try to be fair and honest if its someone asking for help with their profile.

One thing I will say

No cock pics in public

No visual instruction manuals.

Speaking personally I much prefer to see profiles before they ask for advice because they are usually a much better reflection of the person behind them than any generic boxticking creation.

There's no point taking advice on those threads if all they do is give a false perception and you aren't able to live up to any of it.

If they asked then I’d give them my feedback. They did ask after all

I just tell them the forums are the right place for that. It’s a bit presumptuous to ask a complete stranger to review your profile in the private messages.

Yes that’s very true. There is no perfect template! Close ups and messy action shots are certainly not for me but some people clearly love them on their profile. I guess the main thing is have some pictures and a bit about yourself.

Good point, I definitely agree with you.

I wouldn't say as I'm only telling them my prefences after all.

Instead I advise them to look at their profile as it being their portfolio and let them carry on from there.

I'd probably offer it, especially if they've asked politely as you say, OP.

Can't say I've ever been asked though, LOL! It's almost as if guys might message women for "advice" as a way of manufacturing/prolonging a chat! Surely not?
