It seems that the least favourite subject on the sister thread so far is Maths so let's have some revision.

Let's start with: 6+2*8 = ?

Well done , it's 22 as multiplication comes before addition so

2*8 =16

+ 6 = 22

"12"

Brilliant

3x - 5 = 31

3x = 31 +5 ( as you move -5 to other side you need to change sign)

So 3x = 36. So x is 12 as 3 * 22 = 36

I love the one where there's a picture of a question from an exam paper that a student has answered, the question containing an equation, something like: 3x+4=12, Find x.

And the student draws an arrow to the x and writes "Here it is!"

* What is the name of a triangle with all sides different size

"Yes Bodmas or Bidmas

Brackets and order of powers and roots firs then divivision then multiplication, addition and substraction. So if you have things inside brackets for example you do that first so 3*(4+6) you do the bits inside the brackets first which is 10 and then you multiply by 3 so the answer is 30.

Urgh, wouldn't have remembered that without Googling.

"What is the mean (average) of

Mean = 4 5+6+1+4+4 = 20 you add them together and divide by 5 as there are 5 nos so answer is 4

Mode = 4 as 4 appears twice

Median = 4 put in order 1 4 4 5 6 so the middle no is 4

Range = 5"

6 - 1 = 5

You are awarded all three stars, well done

And this the last one from me unless someone wants to take over.

You have a bag of 6 red, 14 blue and 10 green balls. You pick a ball at random. What is the probability that it's a red ball?

Well done its 6/30 or (6 in 30)and if you simplify its the same as 1 in 5 or 1/5.

Now that's it from me unless someone is keen to take over
