"My favourite was art. I hated math with a passion, I don't get on well with numbers at all. Yes, with you on the maths, on a Primary school report it said numbers were a total mystery to me. Apparently there is a term for it, like Dyslexia for people who struggle with words.." Dyscalculia

I am uneducated so it's probably just me being a dummy, but numbers always caused me so much stress as I have never ever been able to understand anything but the very basics.

" Apparently 1 in 20 people have dyscalculia which can be identified through tests like the dyslexia ones. However, there are often other reasons and one of the most common ones is just fear of the subject and poor foundation from an early age.

"I went to a technical high school. Favourites were Motor Vehicle Studies - we got an old engine and axles from a scrapyard, and made a chassis for them, whilst learning about such things like steering geometry, rebuilding engines & gearboxes, and we got to drive it around the school playground, and Metalwork, where we had a foundry and made sandboxes for making aluminium castings. Least favourites were PE and RE." Yes practical subjects like that often capture interest and also develop a huge range of skills.

"Liked English maths and history Disliked biology" Sorry, misread that and thought you meant Reading as a subject, rather than the town of the three Bs. . . .
