Italy is beautiful as a whole and it is so different.

I have a few

Sicily

Trentino Alto Adige

Tuscany (so cliché but it’s beautiful)

And they all are very different

Have done most of Europe but not Italy and would love to.

Cernobbio, Lake Como

Take a half hour drive over the border into Switzerland and watch the architecture change

It's mad to see the change over such a short distance and you can tell you're in a different country

The Amalfi coast, specifically Positano. The bias is strong but it's a truly magical place that I have very fond memories of.

I lived in Italy for a number of years. The Dolomites take my breath away. I love the magic of Florence, Verona and Venice. Bologna is the food capital and home of petrolheads. Driving the mountain passes in the north and coastal roads of the Amalfi is stuff of movies.

I've always wanted to go to Palermo in Sicily, it's where my dad is from. Such a beautiful place with outstanding history and some of the most amazing archaeological sites. Truly breathtaking

Naples is often missed but its so interesting and diverse from its culture and art to its food and the people. Quite a fascinating city to visit although I have not been for sometime.

I used to go to Venice for lunch some days. Head away from St Marks Square and anywhere facing the Grand Canal and the prices aren't too bad, considering its unique setting. Hire a little boat and explore the waterways and many palaces. Be careful exploring the small alleys off the beaten track on foot though - it's a city, like any other, with rough parts and you never know what you're wandering into. Aside from the early part of the year, when the fog leaves an eerie feeling, there is definitely something magical about the place.

And I love the pigeons in St Marks Sq. They make for some beautiful pics with the historic buildings in the background.

I'll take K one day - for the Carnevale Palace Ball if nothing else. A proper Eyes Wide Shut event!

I loved the cobbled streets and it's only a train ride away from Pompei then on down to Sorrento. The train ride was amazing, going between all the houses covered in graffiti.

Took a camper from Rome to Pompeii and the train on to Sorrento - awesome experience. Sorrento was lovely but expensive - found Rome unpleasantly hot especially around the Colosseum (was mid July mind). The region around Sabaudia was an ideal mixture of stunning beaches a more local feel and relatively inexpensive - it's one place I would go back to and I rarely if ever go back somewhere

I love Italy so much. My sister in law and her family have houses in Milan and also in the lakes. We’ve been to the islands too Sicily and Sardinia. Very fond of such a beautiful country.

I love the amalfi coast...sicily I adore too.

Rimini is lovely.

Milan I enjoyed but not as much as some other places

To be honest I haven't been anywhere I didn't like yet.

Buonasera...I have wanderlust just from reading everyone's amazing posts!

My last trip to Italy was Christmas/New Year 2017/18...10 days seeing the east coast of Sicily. Historic Ortigia & Syracuse. Best NYE party EVER, in the piazza duomo in Catania. Sunbathing in 22°C, while sat in the amphitheatre at Taormina, overlooking the Ionian Sea. The most idyllic place ever!

I've been lucky to have seen a lot of Italy over the years and still have a huge bucket list of places I want to visit.

So far, my absolutely favourite place is Firenze (Florence). The first place I ever visited as a solo female traveller ... it changed my life!

Firenze is amazing. I travelled solo in 2009. The food and drink was gorgeous and i hope to go back again one day with my wife. She would love it.
