"Knossos The Acropolis Hadrian's Library" I loved knossos when I visited as it really made you think how advanced and organised they where thousands od years ago. Lots of the stuff though have been moved to the museum to protect. I found the museum particularly awesome. I spent a whole day there and one of my favourites ever.

" I am always surprised when I hear people using the excuse that the parthenon marbles will not be looked after well if they go back to Greece when I think of that museum and how well everything is looked after and preserved. Aside from right and wrong, that's definitely not true.

"Tyne Cot in Belgium and Anne Franks house before it became too commercial I am seriously not a war geek but both have to be the most moving places i have ever been " Tyne Cot, know what you mean! Did you go to the German cemetery at Langemarck (think that's the spelling)? Totally different layout etc, but equally moving. Delville Wood on the Somme. Assaulted by something like 500 South Africans, only about 100 survived to be relieved. Only one tree was left still standing after the battle. The wood has re-grown, but no birds sing in the woods. Very heavy atmosphere and very evocative!
