I don't like his on court behaviour. It's unsportsmanlike. Just like McEnroe back in the day.

Misbehaves; causes drama; distracts his opponents. All to get himself fired up & play better.

Total prick

Some of it is certainly tactical. But I also think he has a massive victim mentality. I used to know a guy a lot like him. In sport or any sort of competition, everything that went wrong was horribly unfair for some reason + the whole world was against him. Kygios feels like that to me.

Good luck to them with that. In my experience, it's impossible to convince somebody like him the problem lies with him. More likely, he'll be convinced it's the rest of the world that's at fault. Or that pigeon that looked at him funny. Or anything at all...

Here occasionally, but mostly somewhere else

It's not like this is new behaviour, and as others said, it's just his personality.

Yesterday was more about Tsitsipas not handling it at all - 2 balls pinged into the crowd (both missed), at least 3 more aiming at Kyrgios (all missed - no wonder he lost).

He's on course to meet Nadal, where all his behaviour will be utterly ignored while Nadal dismantles his game.

Bums on seats, courting publicity. Just like McEnroe used to do! You can't flog a boring game can you?

He actually beat Nadal pretty convincingly in the past. On form, he can beat anybody. But he's just as likely to spend any given match ranting + raving at the whole world.

I tend to agree with this. He obviously thrives on his rebellious, bad-boy self-image but it's a double-edged sword because he does self-destruct as well. I think the player on the other side of the net has to have the temperament not to let it get under their skin.

He's beaten Federer way more times when they've met & he's equalled his Grand Slam Wins (even though hes not allowed to play in Aus or USA)

Come Sunday, he'll cement himself as the GOAT.

dunno. When Kyrgios isn't losing his shit or erratic as hell, he can be v good. When young, he managed to beat the big 3.

Aye, he did. But did nothing much since. He lacks the discipline and, with his antics, he just wastes his talent.

Half of me wants a 5 set thriller, but the other half wants Djokovic to ram his racket down his throat & whup him in straight sets x

As a spectator, I just want a good match. So I hope Kyrgios can play up to his talent. If he can, it could be quite the showdown. If he goes off the deep end, it won't be much of a match, though."

If its half as good as Hewitt's wheelchair matches today, I'll be very pleased

"Really looking forward to Djokovic wiping the floor with him on Sunday.

(Much as I'd love Norrie to get to the final, I doubt he can beat Novak.)

If only it were anyone but Djokovic, who's only marginally less of a dick than Kyrgios...don't get why people don't like Novak.

Because the way he was with covid (but that’s another argument!)

I love the way Novak plays, great great tennis player, maybe the best ever.

He IS the best ever. Absolutely no argument! X

I love ya Red but perhaps a certain Swiss tennis player may argue with that ..

Federer in his prime was untouchable

But that's just the point, Grumpy. Federer is no longer in his prime - Djokovic is.

He's beaten Federer way more times when they've met & he's equalled his Grand Slam Wins (even though hes not allowed to play in Aus or USA)

Oh he'll hammer him in the final and Djokovic is in the top 5 of all time no question...

I've just googled the head to head record and tbf Novak is 27-23 ahead

Because it’s you, I’ll give you the first set being a bit tighter. Maybe a 7-5

Interesting to see the opposing opinions on both these players.

Certain people think novak is a cunt because his covid stance but still want him to win.

Yet think Kyrgios is arrogant cos he wore red hat and shoes to centre court.

Are these both not rules of a dictating society??

Yet we all pick and choose what we deem acceptable.

Come on novak.

"But I also think he has a massive victim mentality. I used to know a guy a lot like him. In sport or any sort of competition, everything that went wrong was horribly unfair for some reason + the whole world was against him. Kygios feels like that to me."

100% must be a Liverpool supporter then

Just checked the odds for bookies in general.

Most have Kyrgios at about 3:1 to win.

djokovic at about 1:4.

Good start, but Djoker doing what he does best……breaking the spirits of opponents. Nick has already started to implode. We’re a couple of games away from him smashing rackets and falling apart.

I don't use the "C" word, but this guy really deserves it. If he wins or loses, will he still be around next time if he is found guilty of assault against his ex-girlfriend? Personally, I hope not.

I'm no tennis expert but watching him over this tournament, while he is winning he is happy and seems content. As soon as he start's losing game's and set's, it's the same old, same old. Crowd, umpire, team, family. Everyone is to blame but not him or his tennis. My humble opinion.

Yeah, I know. I follow tennis really closely. Just making the point that it’s an allegation still at this point. Press release says allegations are not considered fact at this point.
